i was in a snowy landscape that was just land and there was a bunch of sledding dogs eating turkey carcasses by trees and in front of them there are a bunch of men lined up in coats and harsh weather clothing and they were waiting in line for food and i went up to one and asked them why are there so many dogs and he said “this is all they know, this is where they stay. they are just like us” and we left the line and he walked over to look more snowy hills and he sat on a tree stump and when i looked at his face he looked like my dead dad but older like in his 50s and he told me to come closer and i started crying even though i wasn’t sad and i went closer to him and he was trying to tell me a story
Dreams often use symbols and imagery to convey messages about our emotions, relationships, and experiences. In your dream, several elements stand out, which can be interpreted in different ways:
Snowy Landscape: Snow can represent purity, calmness, and a blank slate, but it can also signify isolation or coldness. This setting might suggest that you are in a phase of your life where you feel both the beauty and harshness of your experiences.
Sledding Dogs and Turkey Carcasses: The dogs could symbolize loyalty, companionship, and the instinctual nature of survival. Their presence around turkey carcasses might reflect a sense of abundance or community, but also survival instincts in a perhaps harsh environment. This motif might be tied to how you perceive relationships or your own instinctual responses to life’s challenges.
Men in Coats: The men waiting in line for food may represent a collective struggle or the human condition. Their harsh clothing suggests that they are preparing for something difficult, mirroring possibly your own readiness to face life’s challenges or your feelings about communal experiences during tough times.
Conversation with a Figure Resembling Your Dad: The older version of your father could signify wisdom or guidance. That he appears older might connect you with feelings about aging, loss, or what you wished you could have learned from him if he were still alive. The fact that you began to cry without sadness shows a release of emotions—perhaps unresolved feelings about your relationship with him or nostalgia for shared moments.
The Story: The act of your father wanting to tell you a story indicates a desire for connection and possibly a passing of knowledge or experiences. Stories often symbolize lessons, and this could reflect your need to hear or understand something significant in your life or heritage.
Overall, this dream may be a reflection of your inner thoughts and feelings about relationships, survival, and the wisdom you seek from past experiences or connections. It might be encouraging you to explore deeper emotions or lessons about community, love, and loss. Consider how these themes resonate with your current situation, as dreams often reflect our subconscious mind grappling with our lived experiences.
